DEW Consultants Business Consulting

  • Consulting Definition: To provide expertise or instruction to someone else directly.
  • Value: To impart information and direction to another for their benefit.
  • Goal: To help our clients gain and impart information and direction so that they may improve their business, achieve their goals and realize their vision.
  • Application to Business: Consulting is generally used to improve the performance, communication, productivity, relationships, customer care and/or quality of the workplace between owner/managers and employees in various areas of the business. 
  • Area Examples: Sales, Marketing, Profitability, Planning and Reviewing, Appraisals and Assessments, Problem Solving, Task Performance, Staff Development, Motivating Staff, Team Building, Team Work, Relationship Issues, Appraisals and Assessments, Delegating.

DEW Consultants Business Coaching & Mentoring

  • Coaching/Mentoring Definition: To teach or train and when extended for a long period of time in regards to developing a set of skills, to mentor.
  • Versus Consulting: Coaching/Mentoring prompts solutions through two-way collaborative conversations. The coachee does acquire the facts but not from the coach, but from within themselves, stimulated by the coach.
  • Value: Coaching/Mentoring questions compel attention for an answer, focus attention for precision and create a feedback loop. Instruction does none of these.
  • Goal: To build awareness, responsibility, and self-belief; leading to improved results.
  • Application to Business: Coaching/Mentoring is generally used to improve the performance, communication, productivity, relationships, customer care, and/or quality of the workplace between owner/managers and employees in various areas of the business.
